The e-NC/ e-Harnett County campaign's mission is to ensure that all North Carolina citizens, businesses and communities are aware of, know how to use, and have access to high-speed Internet services at affordable prices. Just as the paving of farm-to-market roads during the 1940s resulted in an economic upswing and a newfound sense of community across North Carolina, laying the Internet highway also will promote prosperity across the state and link us together.

How can I get on the High-Speed Internet Highway? High-speed Internet access means that the Internet is "always on." Like flipping a light switch, your connection is virtually instantaneous. The e-NC/ e-Harnett County campaign pledges to make high-speed Internet access available to every North Carolinian/ Harnett County citizen by 2003. Right now, local dial-up access -- the ability to connect to the Internet by placing a local telephone call -- is available statewide.
